Sydney, January 17, 2012 – Ninefold, the Australian cloud computing and public cloud storage company, has appointed Edwin Dawson as Technical Engagement Manager, starting immediately.

He joins the Marketing team to work closely with Ninefold’s Development, Product, Sales and Support teams, holding responsibility for the entire feel and voice of Ninefold’s customer-facing documentation together with the development of  a new program of educational materials.

Before joining Ninefold, Dawson spent four years as Team Leader of the Technical Writing team at Atlassian, the Sydney-based enterprise social software success story.  Prior to Atlassian, Dawson was Editor-in-Chief at Haymarket Media’s national computing title, PC Authority.

Dawson’s wide experience in communicating the features and benefits of web applications, combined with his entrepreneurial experience and web expertise, made him the ideal candidate to establish this new position at Ninefold.

“Ninefold is red hot right now—a light-speed, high-tech Australian cloud. I’m very excited about engaging with its entrepreneurial customers and finding ways to make the customer experience seamless. I’ll also be going full steam ahead to produce a fresh, industry-leading onboarding program.”

“We’re forging new ground in the Australian cloud computing space and consequently have to create roles to support our customer programs where appropriate,” said Peter James, Managing Director at Ninefold. “We’re proud to welcome Ed. His experience from notable software and publishing companies will help us connect more deeply with our customers, partners and the various digital and entrepreneurial communities.”

Ninefold is also recruiting for cloud-forward technical professionals to join the team at its Sydney headquarters. During 2011, the Ninefold team more than tripled in size and is set for continued growth in 2012.
