11 jobs lost in Pacific Magazines commercial restructure
Pacific Magazines has made 11 positions across its sales team redundant as a result of the publishing company’s commercial restructure announced at the end of October.
The changes to the team saw the publishing company offer a ‘total network approach‘, with teams selling the whole portfolio of Pacific Magazines’ print, digital, social and experiential assets while a new team of dedicated project managers “will ensure seamless pre- and post-sales implementation and integration across channel”.
This has seen 11 positions axed; however, the publisher has also brought a number of people on to the team at the same time as letting people go.
A Pacific Magazines spokesperson told Mumbrella: “After a long engagement with the market we recently restructured our sales team to best meet the needs of our agency and client partners, and – most importantly – to deliver better results.”
They declined to reveal which specific roles had been made redundant.
The new appointments include Roslyn Batty, who joined the team in September from NewsLifeMedia as commercial operations director, and Nicole Bence who joined in October from Nova Entertainment as commercial strategy and solutions director.
Pacific Magazines is also currently hiring for three positions including NSW client services director, group solutions manager and head of homes.
