Eleven, Sefiani, Think take out Best Agency gongs at CommsCon Awards
The winning organisations, campaigns and PR professionals from the CommsCon Awards 2025 have been officially announced.
In an extravagant event on Thursday night at Ilumina in Sydney, We Are Different’s work for Open Road, Open Up — a campaign launched by GME Australia (a provider of radio communications tools) — earned two awards: Best Campaign with a Small Budget and Best B2B Campaign.
Merlin Entertainments also won two accolades on the night. Its Pesto The King Penguin Chick initiative for Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium won PR-Led Content Creation. It also secured Best PR Team of the Year – In-house.

Eleven – winner of PR Agency of the Year – Large
Meanwhile, Eleven’s status as PR agency of record for Mastercard and its work on the finance company’s first wheelchair ballkid campaign made it the winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility category. Outside of its campaign work, Eleven was named PR Agency of the Year – Large.
The above-mentioned category’s smaller counterparts — PR Agency of the Year – Boutique/Small and PR Agency of the Year – Midsize — went to Think Communications and Sefiani, respectively.
As always, the CommsCon Awards acknowledged individuals and their contributions to the industry.
Anna Hobdell of The Lottery Corporation was named Best New PR Talent. EJ Granleese, CEO and founder of three-time 2024 winner History Will Be Kind, received PR Leader of the Year. BBC Studios’ Lauren Myers earned PR Professional of the Year.
