Eliza O’Hare named new Inside Out editor
Bauer Media has appointed Eliza O’Hare as editor of Inside Out magazine.
O’Hare, who spent the last three years at Harper’s Bazaar as associate editor, has more than 30 years experience in the media and publishing industry.
She replaces acting editor, Victoria Baker, who will remain with the title until the end of the year. Baker was editor when Bauer Media acquired the title from News Corp in June, along with HomeLife.com.au and Country Style.
Lisa Green, editor in chief of Bauer Homes, said O’Hare was an “accomplished editor” with extensive experience.
“The brand has a deeply engaged audience across print, digital and social and has continued to see growth since it was acquired by Bauer earlier this year,” Green said. “2019 will be an exciting year, as Inside Out turns 15, so we’re looking forward to working with Eliza on a number of new initiatives and seeing the magazine flourish under her leadership.”
Green also thanked Baker for her leadership and wished her well with her 2019 plans.
O’Hare said she was thrilled to start at the new magazine.
“It’s such a dynamic brand, and readers have a real fondness for it. I love that it is a champion of Australian design,” she said.
