Emma Nolan becomes New Idea editor in chief
Seven West Media owned Pacific Magazines has promoted Emma Nolan to the role of editor in chief at celebrity news magazine, New Idea.
Nolan is currently the editor of another Pac Mags celebrity news and entertainment weekly magazine, Who.
Pac Mags is currently recruiting to find a replacement for Nolan.
Nolan joined Who in 2017 after 15 years as the editor in chief at Bauer Media’s TV Week.
In January, Frances Sheen exited New Idea to focus on her family, leaving general manager of entertainment and family at Pac Mags, Louisa Hatfield to fill the editing responsibilities.
“With a multi-platform footprint of more than 5 million every month, New Idea’s power to entertain and connect with a huge community of Australian women is stronger than ever.
“Emma has strong commercial credentials, great creative vision and a powerful reputation for growing brands. I couldn’t think of a smarter and more talented journalist to take the helm of our flagship brand and evolve it into the future,” Hatfield said in a statement.
“This is such an exciting time for New Idea and I look forward to making a key role in the brand’s continued multi-platform growth. The opportunity to work with the incredibly talented and creative team here is a privilege,” Nolan added.
Hello, Do you accept short story manuscripts for your magazines? I have in mind such as New Idea or so. Stories for young women I write under the name of Dora Ogden. Regards, Dennis.

Firstly I have been trying to buy (which I ordered) a Cookbook Magic Mince No. 1 (Sorry this must sound as a joke ) for $14.94 back on the 15/5/2019. I never heard anything till 2/11/2019 when the money was taken out of my account I never received the Cookbook I have phoned emailed so many times and every time one of your Customer Service people lie and tell me it was sent and check my address and they say they will send it again I never receive it (Such a waste of my time I have better things to do) it is the principle not the amount of money. By the way I had a 6 months subscription of Better Homes and Gardens sent to my address at no problem. I phoned on the 23/12/2019 an asked for a refund your Customer Service person told me they definitely fix it I could count on her, more lies. I sent another email earlier this week I have not received an answer. What sort of company are you head off a Scam company. Sell two magazine and you have the money for my refund so sick of this. I am about to contact A Current Affair. So angry re your Company.
