Emotive raids GPY&R for strategic planning leader
Emotive has boosted its executive team with the appointment of former GPY&R executive planning director, Lucielle Vardy, in the newly-created role of chief strategy officer.
The role is a first for the 18-month-old agency which attracted attention for its work for clients including Optus, Xero and Universal Pictures.
Founder and CEO, Simon Joyce, said it was the right time to make a commitment to a strategy lead.
“We are really excited to have Lucielle join the Emotive team,” Joyce said.
“She is a proven strategic leader who is passionate about data, insight and creativity to solve clients business problems. Her extensive experience will be a great source of insight for our clients. And importantly, Lucielle will be a great fit at Emotive, significantly adding to the positive and progressive culture of the team.”
Vardy said she was looking forward to settling in at the agency.
“It is difficult not to get excited about an organisation that is specifically built around human emotions and responses,” Vardy said.
“This focus and a model that creates conditions for brave thinking both inside the agency and amongst a progressive client set, is the perfect recipe for proven creative excellence.”
