Employsure hires Frank Digital to rebuild its digital platform

Employment relations saleshouse Employsure has conducted a competitive pitch for the redesign and rebuild of its digital platform.

Following the pitch process, the brand decided on Jaywing’s digital product agency, Frank Digital.

Frank will support Employsure’s website design and rebuild, ensuring integration of the brand across customer touchpoints

Employsure said it selected Frank Digital because of the agency’s understanding of the B2B environment, and the opportunity to transform the way SMEs learn about services they often don’t even know are available.

“We wanted to challenge the way we connect with SMEs in the digital space by creating a platform that simplifies the service offering and provides the information we know SMEs are looking for,” Employsure’s senior marketing manager Nicole Chehine said.

“Frank Digital clearly understood our objectives and offered solutions that addressed them.”

According to Chehine, Employsure saw an opportunity to tailor its platform to the needs of SMEs after its own research revealed small business employers don’t know where to go for help, with over one third admitting they rely on Google for information on managing their Fair Work obligations.

Frank Digital’s founder and creative director, Matt Barbelli, added: “Employsure has experienced an exceptional journey: challenging the status quo, innovating with a new service category, and extraordinary growth in just eight short years. Employsure saw the opportunity to refresh and rethink their digital assets to better connect with their target audience and clearly convey the service offering.”

Glen Jeffreys, Frank Digital’s head of experience design, said it was a privilege to be working with such an innovative, customer-focused client.

“From the beginning of the project, Employsure have been an enthusiastic participant in our strategic, user-centric approach to design and development. We’re conducting in-depth interviews and research with businesses across Australia and New Zealand to define the content strategy and ensure we deliver the very best user experience for Employsure customers and staff.

“We are looking forward to the design, development and SEO optimisation phases of the project, building upon the successes Employsure have already achieved. As with all of Frank Digital’s clients, we’ll be guided by our research insights, user testing feedback and considerable in-house experience at each step of the journey.”

At the end of 2018, Employsure landed in hot water with the consumer and competition watchdog, with the ACCC taking issue with the brand’s Google Ads campaigns.

The ACCC alleged the Google Ads – run by an in-house team – misled small business consumers into believing Employsure was itself, or was affiliated with, a government agency, which is not the case.
