Equality campaign reminds Australians ‘this is about fairness’ in latest Yes spot
The Equality Campaign has released a new advertisment as part of its Yes campaign, reminding Australians “this marriage equality thing” is all about fairness.
The 30 second commercial, which premiered on television last night, shows a family of five eating lunch outside as the mother explains why she is voting yes in the postal plebiscite.
“We’ve always taught them how important it is to be fair, to treat everyone the same, that’s what our parents taught us and that’s what this marriage equality thing is all about,” the mother explains.
“And that’s all it’s about,” the husband chimes in and says.
Both parents explain they will be voting yes because it is what they have taught their children, and what their children expect.
