ESPN unveils basketball schedule
ESPN has unveiled its schedule for the NBA season with up to four live games a week screened live.
The announcement:
Following last season’s record breaking audiences, ESPN tips off the 2015-16 NBA season with more coverage than ever before. ESPN will bring fans in Australia and New Zealand up to four live games each week along with extra playoff games and its authoritative NBA studio shows. ESPN continues to support the ever increasing popularity of the NBA in the region.
The excitement starts on ESPN Thursday October 29 LIVE at 11am with the San Antonio Spurs taking on Oklahoma City
Throughout the 2015-16 NBA season, ESPN will televise:
- 90 LIVE regular season games, including Thursday, Saturday, Sunday games.
- 5 LIVE Christmas Day games back to back, airing on Boxing Day in Australia
- Aussie themed Australia Day game airing LIVE January 26 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers.
- The NBA All-Star Game and weekend events.
- The NBA Playoffs, 45 games in total, an increase of 10 games from last season which includes 12 First Round games, 12 Conference Semifinals and 14 Conference Finals games covering the entire Eastern and Western series.
- Every game of the NBA Finals.
In addition, ESPN will air 20 Summer League games LIVE from Las Vegas, 5 U.S national Team Pre-Olympic games and 2 U.S Women’s National Team games.
ESPN.com will continue to provide the most in depth game around the game coverage making sure fans are up to date on everything NBA.
Australian players will continue to make their mark this season and include Matthew Dellavedova – Cleveland Cavaliers, Kyrie Irving – Cleveland Cavaliers, Andrew Bogut – Golden State Warriors, Patty Mills – San Antonio Spurs, Cameron Bairstow – Chicago Bulls, Aron Baynes – Detroit Pistons, Joe Ingles – Utah Jazz andDante Exum – Utah Jazz (currently out for 2015-16 season due to injury). New Zealander’s include Steven Adams – Oklahoma City Thunder and Corey Webster – New Orleans Pelicans (training camp contract).

The excitement starts on ESPN Thursday October 29 LIVE at 11am with the San Antonio Spurs taking on Oklahoma City. The coverage continues on the weekend with a LIVE DOUBLE HEADER on Saturday, LIVE at 10am Miami vs Cleveland followed by the Golden State Warriors up against the Houston Rockets LIVE at12.30pm. The opening season weekend wraps up with the Golden State Warriors taking on New Orleans LIVE at 10.30am.
