Ex-Bathurst 1000 winner Lee Holdsworth joins Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit’s 2023 lineup

Senior leaders from Sunswift, CBRE, Pickles and Datium Insights are among the first brands confirmed to present at Mumbrella’s 2023 Automotive Marketing Summit, taking place on 28 March ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Among them, former Bathurst 1000 winner Lee Holdsworth will share his experience of transitioning from the race track to the boardroom as manager for Capital Markets, Petroleum & Automotive, Oil, Gas & Energy.

With a foot in both professional and consumer auto camps, Lee will discuss how the consumer-grade market can translate to professional racing, and explore the opportunities and benefits that each can gain from the other across the automotive experience.

Another industry veteran, former Formula 1 team operations head Richard Hopkins, explores how he brought over 25 years of experience to UNSW’s Sunswift solar racing project.

Combining renewable energy with the latest technological initiatives (think remote-controlled cars), Richard will discuss why adaptive thinking, strategic partnerships, and a youth-led approach to innovation are the keys to unlocking Australia’s potential as an automotive powerhouse.

Meanwhile, Fraser Ronald from online marketplace Pickles.com.au and Tanim Ahmed from Datium Insights will deliver a session on the challenges facing the industry, from the rise of used cars to the future of the auto supply chain.

Sharing insights on the latest data behind purchasing and selling behaviour, the session will assist auto brands, consumers and manufacturers in keeping up with the latest trends.

Further speakers and sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Mumbrella Automotive Marketing Summit will be held at the Sofitel in Melbourne on March 28, 2023. Early bird tickets are on sale now.
