Ex-Edelman pair Scott Thomson & Amy Watson launch Forge Communications
Scott Thomson and Amy Watson, both formerly of Edelman, have announced the launch of a new communications and reputation management consultancy, Forge Communications.
Thomson was, until recently, the managing director of Edelman in Melbourne, having spent over 18 years with the company, a period that included stints in Toronto and London.

Meanwhile, Watson had served as a senior consultant since 2019, having spent time with the company in Canada, and also having worked at SenateSHJ.
The pair are partners in the new business, and Thomson said Forge Communications is launching at a time when leaders are looking for adaptable and reliable advisors.
“It’s a tough environment today for building and sustaining brand reputations. Leaders are looking for smart and adaptable advisors who they can trust to understand their unique circumstances, act in their best interests, and help them stay on the front foot.”
Forge Communications will base its company ethos around responsible business practices, revealed Watson.
“We’re inspired by businesses that are stepping up to the plate and addressing the big issues of the day. We want Forge to play a part, which is why we’re signing up to the 1% for the Planet initiative and dedicating a minimum of one day per employee per quarter to volunteering in the community.”
Thomson added: “With Forge, we’re excited to have the latitude to create the culture we want, partner with clients we admire and do meaningful work that makes a difference.
“The momentum we’re already seeing shows there’s great demand in the market for our brand of consulting.”
