Ex-McCann boss Chris Mort resurfaces at TMS
Former McCann Australia boss Chris Mort, who left the agency after the merger with Smart last September, has resurfaced at independent media shop TMS.
Mort takes on the role of CEO.
He replaces Warren Hill, founder and majority shareholder of TMS, who will stay on at the agency during a handover period.
Hill said: “Every business needs to refreshed from time to time and I believe now is a great time for TMS to go forward under a new CEO. I’ve known Chris for over 30 years and his track record speaks for itself – his integrity, talent and leadership skills are the exact credentials needed to take TMS to the next level.”
Current MD Andrew Lamb will continue in his role. So will the agency’s COO Marg Cooney.
Insights director Peter Musgrove, who was one of the company’s original employees, is leaving the business to retire.
Mort said: “I see this as a tremendous opportunity to work with Andrew and his very talented team in developing TMS into an even stronger agency. The agency has a remarkable 15 year history with a great future and is a credit to all those involved and I’m truly looking forward to being a part of one the country’s best media agencies”.
