Curtis, who finished up at Mediacom at the end of 2016 after almost three years, has joined the tech company as a media manager.

Philip Newton, corporate vice President and CMO at Samsung Australia, said: “In today’s dynamic media and marketing landscape it is important to have adequate in-house skill sets with which to help organisations keep ahead of the curve.

“Beau’s background is perfectly suited to this position, given his experience working in agency, publisher and client-side roles. Beau’s role is crucial in delivering a true agency-client partnership and best-in-market media integration and analysis.”

Prior to Mediacom, Curtis was the manager of corporate partnerships for Football Focus and before that he was the marketing manager for marketing, partnerships. digital, direct, response, strategy at News Corp for 18 months.

Beau Curtis said of his new role: “I am thrilled to have joined Samsung Electronics Australia and look forward to strengthening our agency partnerships. With the increased complexity facing marketers globally, there’s a huge need for brands to focus on ways to identify opportunities across all touch points, and quantify the impact of media on business metrics.”
