Exit welcomes Florence Noble to directing roster

Copywriter turned director Florence Noble has been added to the directing roster at Exit.

The announcement:

Known also for her deadpan comedic acting performance (she recently starred in Michael Duignan’s 4.4 star science fiction comedy, The Paragon, one of The New York Times’ Five Sci-Fi Movies to Stream Right Now), and former career as a copy writer (TBWA London, Johannesburg and Auckland) Florence brings her innate sense of comedy to EXIT’s Directing roster.

The daughter of a creative director, Florence grew up an advertising kid. This morphed into writing, acting and directing comedy skits which led to collaborations with Nick Boshier (Bondi Hipsters) and the Emmy winning 7DaysLater, participating in the MIFF Accelerator program, a scholarship with the New Zealand film commission and a nomination for Best Emerging Talent at AXIS.

Florence brings this cross-pollinated potpourri to her comedic directing. EXIT co managing partner Wilf Sweetland says “When I watched The Psychiatrist, I saw great writing, comedic timing and of course a great reveal – and that is Florence. Disarmingly charming and lovely to work with. We are so pumped Florence is now at EXIT across Australia and Aoteroa New Zealand.

Florence says “Thrilled to be welcomed into the EXIT fold. Very much looking forward to collaborating on some proper funny stuff.”
