Experiential agency Bastion EBA announces 5 promotions and 2 appointments

Independent communications agency group Bastion Collective’s experiential agency, Bastion EBA, has announced five promotions and two appointments.

Bastion EBA CEO Matt McCann, who became CEO in November 2019, said: “As we come out of the post-COVID period, we are making strategic moves as a business in order to quickly evolve and adjust our business model to be more creatively driven because clients need to engage consumers in different ways.”

Lizzie McManus has been promoted to general manager. McManus was previously head of brand experience. She has worked at the agency for over two years, having joined the agency in October 2019.

Gus Magee has been appointed creative director at Bastion EBA. Magee joined from his role as creative director at Amplify, which he started at in July 2019.

Bridget O’Sullivan has joined the agency as senior client lead, based in Melbourne. Previously, O’Sullivan was a senior account director at Gemba, which she joined in March 2020. She worked at We Are Fearless in London from October 2015 to January 2020, most recently as senior account director.

Nick Sloman and Vivienne Avey have both been promoted to group directors. Sloman was previously commercial strategy director, which he was promoted to in November 2020. He has been with the agency since July 2017. Avey was brand experience account director, who joined the agency in January 2019.

Mitchell Crowe-Hardy has been promoted to creative strategy director. Crowe-Hardy joined Bastion EBA as a senior creative strategist in October 2019.

Marika Mulvey has also been promoted, from brand experience manager to senior brand experience manager. Mulvey joined the agency in January 2019.

McCann added: “We are really proud to be promoting our people as they have gone through enormous growth as leaders and in their respective areas. It is great to be able to recognise their unwavering commitment during what has been a year like no other. These guys have shown incredible resilience and continue to raise the bar in the work that we do for our clients.”

Last October, Bastion Collective announced 14 hires across its businesses.

Bastion EBA’s client roster includes Kia, AIA, L’Oreal, Bunnings, Ferrari, Under Armour, and The Star.
