Eyndia Gopal joins Thrive PR

Eyndia Gopal has been drafted into the role of strategy director at Thrive PR Melbourne.

The announcement:

The Thrive PR + Communications Melbourne office just got busier with the arrival of new Melbourne Strategy Director, Eyndia Gopal.

A Melbourne boy at heart, Eyndia has returned home after an eight-year stint in the UK and the Middle East where he worked on some of the world’s most recognisable brands including Nokia Games, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Sony Ericson EMEA, Mercedes and Chang Beer.

Eyndia’s appointment comes off the back of growth of the Melbourne office with a series of new account wins (soon to be announced) and the re-signing of other long-standing clients.

A passionate practitioner of traditional PR and strategic social marketing campaigns, Eyndia is already using the Thrive Blog (aka thriver-sphere: http://thrivepr.com.au/newsdesk/) to share his expertise; kicking off with an assessment of the varying success of social media techniques being used in the current federal election: thrivepr.com.au/newsdesk/?p=619.

“As a traditional consumer lifestyle and social media specialist, Eyndia has injected a strong undercurrent of international best practice to the Thrive offering and adds a new dimension to our service,” says Leilani Abels, Thrive Owner and Managing Director. “The team also loves the energy that comes with someone who has worked in one of the world’s most creative international hubs” continued Abels.

Eyndia’s strong understanding of how to connect brands with audiences through fully integrated campaigns and his ability to convert awareness to advocacy ensures Thrive continues to develop new opportunities for a stable of clients that includes Coles, General Mills and News Ltd.

“I’ve experienced firsthand the rapid growth of strategic social marketing and its positive impact on fully integrated PR campaigns in the UK,” said Gopal. “Australia is at the social media tipping point. Those brands that embrace these mediums and can confidently combine them with smart and savvy traditional PR campaigns are the ones that will come out on top” Gopal explains.
