Facebook global CMO Gary Briggs to speak at Mumbrella360
The global chief marketing officer of Facebook, Gary Briggs, is to speak at Mumbrella360 in June.
Briggs – one of the world’s most experienced technology company marketers – leads Facebook’s consumer, product and platform marketing.
When he joined Facebook in 2013, he was the company’s first-ever CMO.
Prior to joining Facebook, Briggs served in various marketing roles for Google, including as CMO of Motorola after its acquisition by the tech giant. During his time with Google, Briggs led marketing efforts for search, commerce, Chrome, Google+ and the main Google brand.
He’s also been CEO of startup Plastic Jungle and worked in marketing roles for eBay, PayPal, Pepsi and IBM.
For the keynote session, Briggs will discuss the role of building communities in marketing, before an on-stage discussion with Mumbrella’s Tim Burrowes about the future of human connection through technology.
Briggs is the final major keynote speaker to be announced for the program of Mumbrella360, which takes place in Sydney from June 6-8.
He is one of more than 20 international speakers travelling from overseas to present at the event.
