Facebook’s ANZ agency sales boss Ellie Rogers exits

Ellie Rogers, the head of Facebook and Instagram’s agency sales team in Australia and New Zealand, has left the company after almost a decade.

In a LinkedIn post, Rogers said: “The recent economic downturn has affected the work of many, and the support I’ve witnessed and felt myself for those also impacted has been heart warming.

“I’m beyond grateful to meta, and our partners and proud of the incredible things we achieved together.”

She joined Meta in 2013 from Ikon Communications, where she held the role of chief interactive officer and led the national digital team.

Rogers said she will take the next three months to “be with my family, and slow down a few notches”, and will look for new leadership opportunities in the new year.

“When one door closes another door opens. I will always cherish my time at meta, but the prospect of being part of the next company’s growth journey is exciting. Two weeks on and I’ve had some fantastic conversations and looking forwards to 2023.”

Will Easton, managing director Meta ANZ, said: “Ellie has been a valued and much-loved member of the Meta ANZ Leadership team for the past decade.

“As our industry director, she led our relationships with agencies and made many important contributions to Meta’s growth and success in this market.

“I want to thank Ellie for her strong partnership and wish her all the best for her future endeavours, at which I have no doubt she’ll succeed.

“We continue to have a strong agency team who I am very confident will continue to service our agency partnerships at the highest level.”
