Fairfax Media bolsters Marketplaces with triple appointment

In three separate press releases, Fairfax Media today announced a trio of appointments to strengthen the management team of Marketplaces, its fledgling digital transactions and classified advertising business division.

Tony Blamey has been promoted to a new role – general manager, real estate – shifting from general manager, key categories, Melbourne Publishing Division.

Glenis Carroll, general manager, marketing, Media Division, will move to head up online dating business RSVP as GM.

And Kirsty Shaw, who like Blamey has been at Fairfax for eight years, has been appointed to general manager, travel, responsible for The Stayz Group, which houses property brands Stayz.com.au, TakeABreak.com.au and rentahome.com.au. Shaw was previously strategy and operations director for Fairfax Digital’s transactions divisions.
