Fairfax CEO named chairman of The Newspaper Works
The Newspaper Works has appointed Greg Hywood, the CEO of Fairfax, as its chairman.
Hywood received a unanimous vote at a meeting of The Newspaper Works board yesterday. He replaces Brendan Hopkins, chairman and former APN News & Media CEO, who retired last year.
Hopkins is replaced on board of The Newspaper Works by Brett Chenoweth who became CEO of APN at the beginning of the year.
“This is a very exciting era for our industry, with newspaper brands now able to reach wider audiences than ever thanks to their delivery across print, online and mobile digital platforms,” Hywood said.
