Fairfax Radio Network announce four new appointments

The Fairfax Radio Network has appointed four people to key new spots in its management structure affecting content, news, technology and human resources.

CEO Adam Lang has announced the appointments on the eve of the new radio ratings year.

Clark Forbes has been made as National Content Director, Rob Curtain as National News Director, Joe Sexton as National Technology Director and Mandy Walter as National Human Resources Manager.

“These changes signal very exciting times for the Fairfax Radio Network and we are delighted to have been able to choose many of the best candidates internally,” Mr Lang said.

“Clark Forbes brings a great depth of experience to his new role as National Content Director, having formerly led 3AW as Program Director (and) will play a significant role in leading the strategic Content growth and development of the Fairfax Radio Network.

“Rob Curtain (will) continue as News Director for 3AW and Magic.

“Further significant appointments include Joe Sexton as National Technology Director and Mandy Walter as the new Human Resources Manager. Mr Sexton brings considerable experience to the role of National Technology Director through his extensive career which includes his most recent position as Network and Radio Supervisor at ABC International Broadcasting – Radio Australia.”

The network comprises Sydney’s 2UE, Melbourne’s 3AW and music station Magic, Brisbane’s talk station 4BC and music station 4BH and Perth’s 6PR and 96FM.

The company is now looking for another person to fill a major position – that of National Sales Director.
