Fairfax to relaunch ‘bigger, more substantial’ Sunday Life
Fairfax Magazines will relaunch its Sunday Life magazine in a larger format later this month offering what it describes as “more editorial substance”. The title is distributed with the Sun-Herald in Sydney and Sunday Age in Melbourne.
The company – which parted with editor Alison Boleyn about six weeks ago – said the redesigned new title will have “a re-energised editorial direction aimed at smart women”.
It will see Mia Freedman’s column transfer from the Sunday Extra section, along with a column from MasterChef presenter Sarah Wilson.
Lisa Hudson, Publisher of Fairfax Magazines said: “Sunday Life will re-launch with an exciting new look, increased format and quality matt stock. We will deliver editorial substance coupled with superior design. We want to give it a strong, clear direction that will appeal to smart women looking for enjoyment and relaxation as well as good practical tips on everything from midweek cooking to shopping, fitness and wellbeing.”
Michelle Hurley is the acting editor of the title. The first new look edition is due on June 28.
