Fankoo wins El Casco

Luxury desk accessories brand El Casco has appointed Fankoo PR to its public relations account.    The announcement:

Sydney based Fankoo PR has been selected to work on the PR account for the exquisite Spanish desk accessories brand El Casco.

El Casco was established in 1920 in the Basque Country of Northern Spain. The original items being produced were revolvers. The two owners, Juan Solozabel Mendive and Juan Olave Bilbao, unknowingly laid the foundations for what would then become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of finely crafted luxury goods.

During the Great Depression the founders – joined in 1928 by D. Federico Gabilondo Zubiaurre – were driven to diversify into additional products, and in 1934 they began the production of stationery and desk top accessories. It is in those years that the distinctive stapler M-5 was created, and to this date, almost 80 years later, it remains one of the company’s best selling products.
