Fast and Furious 7 tops box office for second week as Cinderella continues to perform

Fast and Furious 7 has topped the weekend’s box office for a second week, taking $7.712m over the weekend.

It brings total takings for the film, which marks the final appearance of Paul Walker who died in a car accident last November, to more than $30m.

Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation of Cinderella took $2.988m on its third weekend, which sees total earnings rise to $15.578m.

Dreamworks’ Home came third at $2.764m, followed by Spongebob Squarepants: Sponge Out Of Water on $1.537m.

The Longest Ride and Shaun The Sheep both topped the one million dollar mark, at $1.382m and $1.021m respectively.

Insurgent added $834,341 to its total box office, now at $10,891m and high school comedy The Duff pulled in $778,134 to reach $2,359m.

And despite a month and a half in cinemas, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel took in $223,679 to take its eearnings to $15.525m.
