this is brilliant. I love FBI. I’m sure Richard will come to the party – he’s a nice guy.

great idea but don’t forget when asking him to mention that FBI listeners are probably his Virgin Blue customers…makes it a much more compelling proposition!

The only decent radio station in Sydney IMHO. Would be a tragedy if they shut up shop

Looks like a sound business plan to me … let’s ask someone really rich just to give us a million bucks … I know … Richard Branson !!! It’s a nice strategy and campaign, I just hope there is a business plan in there somewhere!

The only decent station in Sydney? 2SER has a wider palette by far.
It’s a shame that FBI pretty much ignores the tastes of the people who supported it through the test broadcasts years ago. It’s very much the muzak of the fluoro brigade at present – or so it would seem.
I would think a detail of exactly how much financial trouble they’re in – not vague specifics – would help gather a little less apathy from Sydney listeners.

Yes, how much do they really need? There’s lots of colour and movement and very little in the way of specifics.
And what happens if/when Richard doesn’t pony up?

This is so deeply inappropriate. Community Radio should be supported by the community not corporate interests and certainly not by a non-Australian company. And what kind of independent station turns to someone who has such longrunning and deep interests in the music industry?
Furthermore why is a station that is supposed to be a youth station populated by so many 30 and 40 something? Time to give the kids a chance

Hi Anon. You are silly. This campaign is poking its nose at established commercialism, turning it on its head, and using it for their own benefit.
Trying to corner branny into coffing up a mill for community radio is fun. Think you’ve missed the point (and have a tendacy to take things way to seriously)

Agree that this is a great campaign, let’s hope we see some seriously good ideas for getting Richard’s attention.
FBi Radio is a rare gem in the otherwise vanilla FM radio space. Bondi FM rocks also, but I live in Surry Hills.
