Fetch TV adds Fox Sports News to its line up

IPTV player Fetch TV has added Fox Sports News to its basic subscription package.  

The announcement:

Sydney, 27 August 2010 – FetchTV today announced that it has added FOX SPORTS NEWS to its channel line up as part of the basic subscription package. The channel will be live to subscribers in September.

FOX SPORTS NEWS is Australia’s premier sports news channel, offering 24 hour coverage of local and international sports, including round-the-clock news, commentary, results and opinion.

iiNet subscribers will be the first to enjoy FOX SPORTS NEWS as part of the ISP’s fetchtv 2 offering available via a standard ADSL2+ Broadband connection from $29.95 per month with a $99 set up fee.

Jon Marquard, Chief Operating Officer, FOX SPORTS, said: “This agreement provides us with a great opportunity to extend the experience of the round-the-clock sports coverage on FOX SPORTS NEWS to more Australian viewers.”

In coming months, we look forward to making further announcements regarding additions to our Basic and a la carte content offerings.”

FOX SPORTS NEWS is the latest channel to be added to the FetchTV lineup alongside twenty leading subscription channels including six video-on-demand channels, 30 free movies every month and access to new-release pay-per-view movies from major movie studios. Also included in the FetchTV basic subscription package are five specialty subscription channels, plus a range of interactive applications and games.
