Fiftyfive5 expands Melbourne team with two senior hires

Fiftyfive5 has made two senior hires for its Melbourne office, having hired Michelle Newton as marketing director and Jenny Witham as director.

The announcement:

Believing that brand leaders invest when others hesitate, FiftyFive5 is powering forward with the appointment of two senior hires, Jenny Witham and Michelle Newton to join Matt Pearce in their ambitious growth plans for Melbourne.

The merger of GalKal and Fiftyfive5 in 2018 firmly cemented Fiftyfive5 as the largest independent research consultancy in Australia. With a team of over 135 and offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore.

Michelle has worked both locally and globally in advertising, at then JWT and Y&R, and in New York with internationally renowned futurist Faith Popcorn. On return from the US, Michelle led the National cultural forecasting offer at GalKal before moving to Deloitte, where she established the National Greenhouse innovation lab offering.

Jenny has spent over 20 years in market research and consumer insights. Jenny’s previous roles include Chief Client Officer of Colmar Brunton where she worked closely with the senior leaders nationally to drive client relationship strategies and overall business growth. Jenny spent the previous 9 years as
Managing Director of the Colmar Brunton Melbourne business, leading a large team of researchers and specialists. Her most recent role was Executive Director, Strategic Client Partner for KANTAR where she focused on company integration, client planning and leading major strategic accounts and teams for the business.
