The announcement:

Global fintech, Finder, has today announced the launch of its podcast series, ‘House of Tech’, in collaboration with federal Senator Andrew Bragg.

The podcast is co-hosted by Finder Founder Fred Schebesta (right) and Senator Andrew Bragg (left), who are both passionate about innovation and the future of Australia’s economy. The podcast covers the cross-section of policy and business, with a founder and a politician at the helm of the conversation.

The hosts will be joined by business leaders from various industries, from Afterpay Co-Founder Anthony Eisen to Artificial Intelligence expert Dr Catriona Wallace.

“I love the intersection of regulation, business and technology. It’s all happening in this space, particularly for cryptocurrency. I’m fascinated by it and I want to share the stories from these great guests about what else is changing, what else is moving well and where those three things tend to intersect,” explains Fred.

“I want people to learn about what’s new, what’s upcoming in the areas where things are changing. I want to help drive change. I’m hoping this podcast in some small way helps people with all the changes they’re going through.”

The six-part podcast series, consisting of 30 minute episodes, is an Australian-first collaboration between a sitting federal government member and a global fintech leader.

“There has never been a more exciting time to be in the tech industry in Australia. Fred and I have a joint passion for how business and tech continues to evolve, so it made sense for us to share this with the world,” said the Senator.

When considering collaborating with Fred, the Senator said, “Fred was an easy choice, he’s a great thinker who has contributed much to our inquiries over these past few years.”

To celebrate its launch, a non-fungible token (NFT) artwork has been created in line with the ‘House of Tech’ theme. The NFT will also include an exclusive lunch with Fred and the Senator, and will be auctioned off with funds raised going towards the First Nations Foundation.

The First Nations Foundation works together with Indigenous communities and the finance industry to provide financial education, training and information. Phil Usher, CEO of First Nations Foundation, is thrilled for the organisation to be involved in a forward-thinking podcast.

“Our goal is to achieve financial prosperity for Indigenous Australians, so the discussions taking place on this podcast are a good match for our focus on increasing financial awareness,” he said.
