First look at full trailer for Tim Winton’s The Turning
The first full length trailer has been released for The Turning, one of the big hopes of the year in Australian film.
The Turning, based on author Tim Winton’s novel, has each of 17 chapters directed by some of Australia’s most respected film makers. A high profile list of Australian actors feature in the film.
The directors are Marieka Walsh, Warwick Thornton, Jub Clerc, Robert Connolly, Anthony Lucas, Rhys Graham, Ashlee Page, Tony Ayres, Claire McCarthy, Stephen Page, Shaun Gladwell, Mia Wasikowska, Simon Stone, David Wenham, Jonathan Auf Der Heide, Justin Kurzel, Yaron Lifschitz and Ian Meadows.
The stars include Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Miranda Otto, Richard Roxburgh, Hugo Weaving, Callan Mulvey, Brenna Harding, Dan Wyllie, Susie Porter, Harrison Gilbertson, Robyn Nevin, Matt Nable and Wayne Blair.
The trailer features the music of Melbourne’s Tiger and Me.
The film features several overlapping stories, all set around the turning point in somebody’s life.
It includes directorial debuts for Alice in Wonderland star Mia Wasikowska and Killing Time’s David Wenham.
The film was produced by Balibo creator Robert Connolly with Maggie Miles and Arenamedia and is being distributed by Madman Entertainment and CinemaPlus. It opens in Australia on September 26.

This film looks interesting! I love its soundtrack. Though, I don’t quite get the story of this movie. I will try to watch this when it’s already showing on the theater.

isnt it refreshing to have a trailer which doesn’t tell you what’s going to happen.. but props for saying ‘film’ and not movie
