First look at the Wake Up set
The first promo giving a look at the set of Ten’s multimillion dollar relaunch into breakfast television has gone live.
Wake Up – presented by James Mathison, Natarsha Belling and Natasha Exelby and produced by Adam Boland – launches in the next few weeks.
The show will be broadcast from Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club in Manly, with newsreader Nuala Hafner at Federation Square in Melbourne.
Despite the fact that the show is yet to announce an air date, broadcast promos began to air three days ago.
Wake Up follows last year’s ill fated push by Ten into the morning slot with Breakfast, which was axed after just a few months after failing to rate.
The launch marks a major investment by Ten including fitting out the set and connecting it back to ten’s headquarters in Pyrmont. The network is currently struggling with the lowest ratings in its history.
Wake Up will face fierece competition from Boland’s market leading former show Sunrise, on Seven, and with Nine’s Today.
I still reckon they should have called the new show “Morning Glory”. That would have at least gained some extra publicity.
Wake Up sounds more like an order. Is it with an exclamation mark? Wake Up!
Or is it more Wake Up?

I think they’re trying to make it sound like an orgy morning-after. “Wake Up with Tash, Tarsh and Matho.” It actually seems like they’re positioning it as breakfast radio with pictures.

Matho???
Never heard him called that before? Why the insistence of a nicknames?

I never would have thought that the ridiculous overuse of wood on a set can burn my eyes so much!
