Fitness First partners with Mardi Gras

Health club Fitness First has partnered with Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival in a sponsorship arranged and managed by Pink Media Group.

The announcement:

World leading health club, Fitness First, has today announced its sponsorship as a major partner of the 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Fitness First’s Head of Marketing, Anthony McDonough, said that the organisation was proud to be associated with the festival and supporting the LGBTQI community.

“Being involved as a major partner of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is an incredible opportunity for Fitness First,” Mr McDonough said. “We have an exceptionally diverse member base and workforce, a number of whom are a part of the LGBTQI community. It is important to us to show our support across a broad spectrum of community activities – and share our fitness expertise with everyone.”

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras CEO, Michael Rolik, said that the Mardi Gras team are thrilled to have Fitness First on board as its fitness partner.

“We are so excited to welcome Fitness First –the support of our major partners, helps make the entire Festival possible. The Fitness First sponsorship is a great brand alignment for Mardi Gras. Health and fitness is important to many members of the community. Together with Fitness First, we’re pleased to be promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle and helping to put fitness first this Mardi Gras.”

As part of its sponsorship, Fitness First will have an exciting presence at Fair Day hosting a number of dynamic movement workouts and fitness challenges in true Mardi Gras style.

In addition, key members of Fitness First’s Senior Management Team and support office, club staff and members will be proudly participating in next year’s Parade, with a very cool float to look out for.
In the lead up to the Mardi Gras celebrations, Fitness First will be announcing more details for a number of promotions, including:

  • ‘Fit & Fab’ Mardi Gras bootcamps across a number of locations
  • Short-term memberships for international visitors to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
  • The opportunity to win a place with the Fitness First team on the Parade float
  • Free Fitness First ten visit pass for all Mardi Gras volunteers, for access to Fitness First Passport clubs across Australia.
