Five by Five’s Matt Lawton departs for global role, replacement MD named

Five by Five Global’s managing director and founder Matt Lawton is moving on to a global role within its parent company, Lawton Communications Group, and his Australian MD replacement has been named.

Tasked with managing the integrated agency’s operations in Australia as its new MD, Mark Anderson brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of driving growth.

He joins the agency after nearly eight years at CX agency Cheil Australia, where he was most recently managing director. Under his leadership, Cheil grew from 18 to nearly 90 employees, with increased revenue and industry recognition.

He replaces Lawton, who is moving into a globally-led position where he will link new business efforts across Five by Five’s offices in Australia, the UK and the US. Akin to a CMO role for the agency, Lawton will build international clients who are looking for an indie agency to represent them across integrated channels.

Lawton said he is thrilled to welcome Anderson to the team.
