The announcement:

Adelaide Thunderbirds and Netball South Australia today announced that Flight Centre have extended their partnership with a new multi-year deal through to the end of 2022.

The three-year extension will see the travel agency celebrate a five-year partnership and commitment to Adelaide Thunderbirds at the elite level and grassroots netball in South Australia.

Flight Centre’s partnership with Netball South Australia has delivered a number of Adelaide Thunderbirds clinics in regional communities, with BBQ dinners for participants cooked by local Flight Centre agencies.

The Flight Centre Captains ‘surprise and delight’ activation has been a fan favourite at selected Adelaide Thunderbirds home games providing upgraded seats, complimentary merchandise and on-court experiences to lucky fans.

In 2020, Flight Centre will expand the Flight Centre Captains ‘surprise and delight’ offering to all Adelaide Thunderbirds home games and will continue to build their connection to the community with further regional clinics for budding netballers.

Flight Centre will be the first official member partner in history for the 2020 Adelaide Thunderbirds membership campaign. Adelaide Thunderbirds will introduce a new premium membership offering, Flight Centre Captains Club, exclusive to Adelaide Entertainment Centre games. This offering will include corporate seating, food and beverages.

Netball South Australia CEO, Bronwyn Klei said: “Flight Centre’s re-signing is a commitment to support and grow the number one sport of choice for women.

“Flight Centre have been a wonderful supporter of netball in South Australia over the last two years and we are rapt to have their commitment until the end of 2022.

“Netball South Australia, the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Flight Centre have enjoyed a successful relationship and their renewal is a testament to their commitment to the continued growth of our sport.

“We are looking forward to activating with fans and bringing Flight Centre’s bold engagement activities to life at Adelaide Thunderbirds home games and in our regional communities with clinics for country netballers,” Klei said.

Flight Centre South Australia general manager, David Infirri, said: “We are thrilled to be renewing our partnership with Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds for another three-year term.

“Over the past two years our relationship with Netball SA has gone from strength to strength – from game day activations, to regional netball clinics, and even transporting the team up the Darwin for a game in 2019 – it’s been an exciting journey.

“We genuinely feel a connection with the netball community through this sponsorship, and we can’t wait to see where the next three years will take us.

“Flight Centre Business Travel will continue to look after the commercial travel needs of Netball SA, and we also welcome all Adelaide Thunderbirds fans into our retail Flight Centre stores all across South Australia so we can assist in booking your next holiday.

“At Flight Centre we are committed to continuing our strong local engagement here in South Australia, and together with the team at Netball SA, we know we can deliver more amazing travel experiences to netball fans and the wider SA community,” Infirri said.
