Focus claims second spot in weekend box office as The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel reigns supreme

Former Neighbours star Margot Robbie’s latest film Focus, which also stars Will Smith, has claimed the second spot on the weekend box office since premiering last Thursday.

The movie, which tells the story of accomplished con man Nicky Spurgeon taking an amateur con artist under his wing before the two become romantically involved, pulled in $2.619m over the weekend but were just pipped by The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which made $2.631m to claim the top place on the box office rankings for the second week running.

Fifty Shades of Grey was knocked into fourth place after pulling in $1.001m to take the films total Aussie box office takings to $22.140m.
