Former ACP editor Paula Joye fronts Dove ad for rival group

Months after leaving ACP’s Madison magazine, Paula Joye is the face of a new ad campaign for Dove brokered by the integrated sales house of rival publishers Pacific Magazines.

The campaign has been created by SMG Red which is the joint sales offering of Pacific Magazines, the Seven Network and Yahoo!7.  

Earlier this year Joye left ACP after 15 years including a year as the editor of Madison. She is billed in the ad simply as “magazine editor”.

Joye is currently is the launch phase of her own online venture lifestyled.com.au.

The series of three ads also features Zoe Ventoura, one of the stars of Seven’s Packed To The Rafters. Created in conjunction with retailer Woolworths they will be “featured heavily” during the show’s breaks, starting from tonight.

A spoeksman confirmed: “All talent was sourced through the SMG Red relationship.”

Dove sponsors Packed To The Rafters, which is currently the biggest show on free to air TV routinely attracting more than 2m metro viewers.

Sharon Parker,Unilever Australasia’s marketing director for  personal care products, said: “This is our second year of aligning with Packed to the Rafters and having Zoe Ventoura and Paula Joye front this year’s campaign is something we’re incredibly excited about. Their expertise is put to great use in these specially created commercials.”
