Former APN sales director Tim Rose launches consultancy

Former APN sales director, Tim Rose, has launched an outdoor advertising consultancy.

The announcement:

Former Sales Director of APN Outdoor, Tim Rose, today launched an outdoor advertising consultancy in North Sydney: “Australian Outdoor Consulting”.

After 13 years at APN, leading the National Direct and then the NSW Agency sales teams, Rose resigned from the business in the week prior to its sale to JC Decaux in June.

Rose has since been consulting to Huawei, the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer, for the recent release of The Mate20 Series. He was tasked with “establishing and improving Huawei’s overall media buying strategy in partnership with multiple media owners including oOH!, Brandspace, APN Outdoor and Nine”.

“The launch of the Huawei Mate20 Series was the most successful in Huawei’s history” said Glen Chean, Marketing MD at Huawei. “We have sold more than ten times as many devices during this launch period, compared to our last. Tim has delivered us significant additional value with all our media partners and great sustainable relationships for the long term.”

Rose will continue to work closely with Huawei, but is seeking to increase his client base. “I see an opportunity to work with any advertiser who spends on out-of-home in Australia, and has ever questioned the rapidly rising costs of the medium” said Rose.

“The popularity of outdoor continues to grow, and with this year’s consolidation of the industry, there is only one direction that prices will go in 2019. I will be assisting clients to navigate the changed landscape, and educating them in how to negotiate more effectively, to receive greater value and more efficient campaigns.” said Rose.
