Former Bauer exec Jayne Ferguson joins agency Edit’d

Bauer Media’s former general manager of lifestyle, Jayne Ferguson, has joined creative content agency Edit’d as a partner.

Ferguson left Bauer Media, where she was publisher of Bauer Media’s biggest brands including Take 5, NW and OK!, in February after five years.

Ferguson was with Bauer Media for the last five years

Upon her departure, CEO Paul Dykzeul took on her remit in addition to other duties. Prior to that, Ferguson worked at News Corp as digital brand director.

She will now join News Corp’s former editorial director for lifestyle, Karen McCartney, as the agency, where she will focus on creating content and design for brands. Edit’d was launched in 2016 by McCartney and former magazine editor, Trudi Jenkins.

“I’m delighted that Jayne is joining the business,” McCartney said.

“She brings a wealth of strategic and commercial experience having positioned, and managed, some of Australia’s biggest brands. She’s highly experienced in the digital and print space and in implementing strategies for business growth. Together we offer a really strong balance of the creative and the commercial”.

Ferguson said McCartney has established a “strong reputation” for working with brands in the interior, architecture, design and homewares category.

“With her editorial background, authorship of books and recent digital experience, we are well placed to help brands target their audiences with inspiring, world-class content,” Ferguson said.
