Former Dentsu veteran Nick Swifte launches Swifty Media

Former Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) veteran Nick Swifte has launched an independent strategy, planning and buying agency, Swifty Media.

Swifte will lead the agency as founder and managing director, leveraging a strong professional standing in media circles after close to 30 years of experience in the industry.

Most recently, Swifte was senior account director at Rapid Media, an agency partially owned by Group M’s MediaCom. Previously, he served in a number of roles over 22 years at DAN, until his position as head of government services was made redundant in a restructuring under former CEO Henry Tajer in 2019.

The launch was held at the Geelong Cub in front of an audience of over 70 guests from industries spanning politics, business, advertising, media and the arts. The event was MC’d by Neil Soullier (OAM), CEO of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation and longtime associate of Swifte as a result of his philanthropic work with the Foundation.

“Many people have asked me over the journey why I haven’t done this sooner and I can’t adequately explain why I didn’t, but I recently realised I had the drive, passion, knowledge and all the necessary skills and support to go out on my own,” said Swifte.

“During this launch journey, I have had so much encouragement, support, advice and feedback from many colleagues and friends and Thank you to everyone who has offered me your sage advice and guidance – your support has been invaluable and means the world to me – I am eager and ready to take it from here,” he continued.

“At Swifty Media, we value establishing lasting Client relationships from the outset, and to ensure the best possible return on media spend and value propositions are met and maintained.”

With a strong value of giving back to the community, Swifte has already commenced working with not-for-profit Australians for Mental Health in partnership with Hello Sunday Morning founder Chris Raine to raise awareness of the impacts of mental health.
