Former Droga5 Sydney CEO Sudeep Gohil emerges at 72andSunny in LA
Former Droga5 CEO Sudeep Gohil has joined 72andSunny’s Los Angeles office as group strategy director.
Gohil was one of the founders of Droga5’s Sydney office in 2008 and was CEO from March 2012 up until its surprise closure in September last year.
Most recently he was a founding partner at healthcare startup Tyde, a role he continues in, and prior to Droga5 was the strategic planning director at Wieden + Kennedy Portland while his early career experience at BBH saw him work in Tokyo and London.
During his time in Sydney, Gohil was also the chairman of industry body The Communications Council.
At 72andSunny Gohil will focus his attention on client needs in Asia Pacific as well as developing strategy for a variety of clients in 72andSunny’s LA office.
72andSunny partner and chief strategy officer Matt Jarvis said: “Sudeep is a true creative entrepreneur, and we are excited to build our next chapter with him.
“He’s rigorous, he’s curious and his connection and passion for culture is inspiring. We’re also excited to see how he’ll integrate Adidas into his impressive sneakers collection.”
72andSunny’s clients include, Adidas, Axe, Carlsberg, Dropbox, ESPN, Google, Samsung, Smirnoff, Starbucks, and Target, and the agency has offices in LA, Amsterdam and New York.
Certainly one of the best, most talented people to go in and out of Droga5 Sydney. GREAT that he’s landed in a flourishing place that will allow him to apply his high-level strategic skills for the business benefit of an array of world-class brands.
