May God Bless you Colin and your family and friends. Even though I do not have a green thumb I still enjoyed your week end shows on 4BC. I will miss that wicked sense of humour of yours. Enjoy eternal spring in ….. as you would often say ….. in God’s Great Garden.

Col was a lovely, lovely man with a wicked sense of humour who did a great deal for promoting Queensland in addition to his passion for gardening. He will be greatly missed by many, avid gardeners and brown thumbs alike.
Vale Col Campbell.

I remember Colin accepting a very sad and sorry looking plant at a gardening show, from a visitor. He said to the lady – you’d think you would be ashamed to bring a plant like that here and we roared with laughter, It was such an apt remark. Vale dear Colin and sympathy to your family – you will be sorely missed.
