Former Kaleidoscope CEO Kylie Green launches The Oven Communications
Kylie Green, the former CEO of Photon Group marketing agency Kaleidoscope, has launched new agency The Oven Communications.
Green told Mumbrella the agency will seek to target a broad range of clients.
“Everything from FMCG to manufacturing, we’ve got a lot of experience in a lot of different areas,” she said.

Foundation clients include 20th Century Fox – with work to launch “very soon” – pro-surfer Layne Beachley’s Aim For The Stars Foundation and start-up company Dental Bookings, an online portal for dentist appointments similar to a hotel-booking site.
Bianca O’Hara and Jackie Francis have joined as account directors who have both worked with Green before, while Nicole Stanbridge will consult as an account director from Queensland. Admin support staff, a financial controller and a freelance creative team have also been appointed.
Green established Kaleidoscope Marketing in 1998 and then sold to the Photon Group in 2005. She left the position as CEO in July of last year.
“I’m a lot older and wiser this time. I was very naive when I started my first agency, I didn’t know what to expect,” she said.
Green added: “Experience has helped this time around. Having a full-circle experience from starting, to selling and then moving on, I’ve learned a lot from that and I don’t regret it.”
“It also helps to know all the things to look out for in terms of finances, capital expenditure etc.”
Late last year, Green launched online job site AdLand jobs for the media and marketing industry of which she hopes to eventually sell to a recruiter.
She said: “Now that it’s up and running it really runs itself. My vision is to keep that going with the ideal thing to one day sell to a recruitment firm who could embellish it and build it up.”

Good plan. Who needs full time creatives anyway – all they do is whine about “the work”
