The announcement:

Luke ChessMammal is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Chess as Creative Partner.

Multi-awarded copywriter and creative director Luke Chess has joined Mammal from his previous position as Executive Creative Director at MJW. He replaces Mammal co-founder Gary Cunliffe who has left to pursue interests in New York.

Chess brings a strong, strategically-underpinned creative approach to Mammal, and is looking forward to working with Managing Partner Adrian Leppard to continue to evolve the business.

“Adrian and I have known one another since my early days at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney,” says Chess. “When the opportunity came up to work with him again, and in a business comprised of talent who are doers as well as thinkers, it felt like exactly the right thing at exactly the right time.”

Adds Leppard, “Luke has already begun sharpening and refining our creative approach and product, as well as working towards a new high score on the agency’s pinball machine. It’s a great time to be at Mammal.”
