Amanda McGregor: “Extensive experience in media, events and trade media”

“I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Amanda McGregor as General Manager Trade Marketing of News Corp Australia,” said chief marketing officer of News Corp Australia, Tony Phillips.

“Amanda comes with extensive experience in media, events and trade media. Her career commenced with the media agency RSCG as a planner / buyer and three years with SOCOG in marketing and sponsorships.”

“This led to opportunities in the UK where the majority of her time was with the BBC that included head of digital marketing, head of strategic projects and director of global brands. Upon returning to Australia in 2014, Amanda has been the director of marketing at SBS, a position that embraced the marketing and the trade marketing of the network.”

During her tenure at the BBC, McGregor was responsible for the local marketing of the broadcaster’s properties which at the time included Top Gear, Dancing With The Stars, Doctor Who, Torchwood, BBC Earth and Lonely Planet.
