Telstra-backed programmatic video firm Ooyala has appointed former SpotX, Tiscali and Site Tour executive Vicki Lyon to run the business across Asia Pacific.
Lyon moves into the position of director of ad tech for Asia Pacific and Japan – a newly created role by the company.
She joins from Site Tour, an ad exchange for outdoor advertising, where she has spent just under a year and a half as chief commercial officer until the company shifted its headquarters from Sydney to London and moved its focus away from Asia Pacific.
Lyon joins with a brief to grow demand for Ooyala’s ad tech offering, which includes Ooyala Pulse, its ad server product, and its ad blocker buster Ooyala Unlock, across Southeast Asia, Japan, India and Australia.
Lyon was previously vice president of ad-tech solutions for Telstra, and also had a stint with SpotX, where she was MD of the Australian operation.
