Former Sunrise boss Adam Boland looks outside of TV

The man credited with turning Sunrise into Australia’s leading breakfast program and launching The Morning Show for the network has revealed that his next venture will be outside of television.

Adam Boland told the Sun-Herald that his next project will be to launch a traditional Korean bathhouse in Sydney.

He said that the plan developed while travelling in Asia with his partner. Boland still consults with Seven two days a week.

In November, Boland hinted to Mumbrella that he would like to develop new programming ideas after taking a break.

He said: “Breakfast TV takes a toll. I just want to have some time to play with my cat. I want to see my partner. I want to take some time out and consider what my next project is.”

Boland talks to Mumbrella shortly before stepping down from Sunrise:
