Former Tourism NT head of marketing Adam Coward appointed CMO of YouFoodz

Adam Coward, the former Tourism NT executive director of marketing, has been appointed CMO of Brisbane-based food startup, YouFoodz.

Coward takes the role after YouFoodz came under fire for its ‘forking’ campaigns which featured a child impersonating chef Gordon Ramsay. It became one of the most complained about commercials this year so far.

Since leaving Tourism NT at the end of 2016, Coward has been general manager of sales and marketing at Racing Queensland.

“It’s an exciting time to join the Youfoodz Fam”,  Coward said in a statement..

“What you see on the package is exactly what you get right from day one in joining the company. Everyone at Youfoodz is absolutely living the brand across every touchpoint and I can see why it’s already ranked in the top 10 startups to work at across Australia.

“It’s rare you get a brief like Youfoodz which demands you to draw upon every single learning across your marketing career to be able to help drive future success in such a competitive market. It is a perfect fit and I feel very privileged to join the Fam”.

In a LinkedIn post Coward said: “Very privileged to join the Youfoodz Fam as CMO. No doubt we are on a journey of ‘goodness to greatness’ towards our mission to be the future of food with every romantic walk to the fridge.”

During Coward’s tenure at Tourism NT, the organisation confused the marketplace with the announcement of 16 strong agency panel for its then $8m account.

Mumbrella has contacted YouFoodz and Coward for comment.
