Shane Sutton and Brigitte Guerin are the new additions to the Bauer commercial brands team

During his career, Sutton has also been editor in chief of Pacific Magazine’s Famous and held senior positions at Bauer Media’s Woman’s Day and TV Week.

Joining the commercial brands team at the same time as Sutton is Brigitte Guerin, who is returning from maternity leave to the role of group brands and partnerships director. Guerin was most recently at Bauer Media as head of agency and direct sales.

Paul Gardiner, Bauer Media’s director of sales, said the appointments were important as the company’s focuses on creating content solutions for clients.

They both follow the launch of Story54, Bauer’s storytelling division.

Guerin added: “I’m thrilled to be leading the commercial brands team and I look forward to continuing to develop innovative brand integrations and partnerships for our advertisers.”

Sutton also said he was excited to join Bauer Media, describing the publisher as a company dedicated to creating “the most innovative content solutions for clients and advertisers”.

“I look forward to working with the talented teams behind some of Australia’s most dynamic and enduring media brands on a range of valuable and highly engaging new brand content opportunities,” Sutton said.

Sutton’s new appointment comes the same week as the appointment of Cosmopolitan editor Keshnee Kemp, as editor of WHO. She commences her role in June.
