Foxtel has unveiled its new on demand drama destination, Fox Showcase.

The newly rebranded showcase channel will feature dramas from FX and HBO, as well as locally commissioned shows.

At an event last night in Sydney, Fox Showcase revealed it would be the home of FX shows including American Horror Story, Better Things, and six part Australian drama, Mr Inbetween.

Fox Showcase, which is available through the Foxtel IQ and IQ4 boxes, will also feature HBO programs including Game of Thrones, Westworld, Big Little Lies and The Deuce.

Australian drama and Foxtel original Wentworth will also return to the channel, including Secret City: Under the Eagle and new programs Lambs of God, The End and Upright.

“We are unashamedly a premium service,” Foxtel CEO Patrick Delaney said on Thursday evening.

“The bottom line is it means we are the gold standard. We are the standard by which all others are tested. We make it simple for people to see the best movies, the best drama, the best sports through one remote control.

“It is an extraordinary range of drama that we have. It is so diverse, it’s represented in channels so why not represent it in one home, in one subscription video on demand place, and that place will be called Fox Showcase. In Fox Showcase we can guarantee you full box sets, complete seasons, whole franchises.”

Tania Jones, MCN’s national director of content and brand partnerships, added: “The launch of Fox Showcase and its library of On Demand content demonstrates Foxtel’s pioneering vision, delivering entertainment like never before. With a stellar schedule of local and international drama, it provides a premium viewing experience for the customer, alongside a premium environment for brands and advertisers alike.”
