Foxtels’s Mark Buckman and AANA’s Sunita Gloster join PwC CMO advisory board
Fresh from hiring former Network Ten executive Russel Howcroft as chief creative officer, PwC has lured Foxtel’s Mark Buckman and and AANA CEO Sunita Gloster to join its CMO advisory board.
The pair, who will add the advisory positions to their current full time jobs, have been recruited to bolster the consultancy’s offer guiding CMOs which is seen as a key area of growth under Howcroft.
“Having industry leaders such as Mark and Sunita joining our CMO advisory board is a critical part of our growth strategy for this new practice,” Howcroft said.
“Since announcing our plans in December, we have been overwhelmed by the response from organisations who are looking for trusted, transparent and independent advice across a range of marketing and brand activities.”
Buckman and Gloster will be the only external members on the board which includes Megan Brownlow, PwC partners and editor of the PwC Australia Entertainment and Media Outlook, Mike McGrath, PwC chief marketing officer, Lawrence Goldstone, PwC partner, The Difference, and Howcroft.
Gloster said she was looking forward to the role at a time of dynamic change in marketing.
“The move by consultancy firms into the marketing practice reflects the growing awareness of the critical importance of the marketing function to generating sustainable profits,” Gloster said.
Buckman said he felt PwC was in the perfect position to assist clients with critical brand issues.
A spokesperson for PwC said there were no plans to add any further external members to the board.
Congrats Mark, Sunita. Great appointments to join the advisory board.
