The three hour networking session takes place on October 8, on the afternoon before the conference. It will seek to connect anyone interesting in doing business around content marketing and branded entertainment. This may include marketers, agencies, suppliers, media companies, technologists, creatives, commissioners and content makers.

The speed networking session allows people to book up to 12 appointments over the three hours in a series of targeted 15 minute slots, with the meetings organised ahead of time via the BE Festival website.

A maximum of 100 places are available at the speed networking. Twenty of those places are reserved for marketers with budgetary signoff who are interested in knowing more about forms of branded content available to them.

The speed networking takes place from 2pm on Wednesday October 8 at the Festival venue of Luna Park in Sydney. It will be followed by networking drinks.

The event is intended to give those involved in making branded entertainment or creating content marketing the chance to connect with potential clients and briefly discuss their business challenge or capabilities, with a view to being able to continue a conversation later if they wish.

The first 20 eligible marketers to apply will be able to attend for free. The standard cost is $220 per place for the networking.

The conference takes place on Thursday October 9, with the BEfest awards that night. Entries close for the BEfest Awards at the end of tomorrow.

BE Festival is organised by Mumbrella’s parent company Focal Attractions.

The draft program sees a rare keynote appearance from Nick Worthington, ECD of Colenso BBDO Auckland and one of the world’s most respected creatives. There will then be a series of sessions tackling content marketing strategy, execution, distribution and ROI. The event also sees sessions on native advertising featuring representatives from The Guardian, Sound Alliance, Mamamia and Fairfax Media, and on TV integration featuring case studies from Nine, Seven and Foxtel. There will also be a showcase of the world’s best branded entertainment.

The program can be viewed here. A pass for both the networking and the  conference is discounted to $660 if bought before the end of this week.

If you believe you qualify for a free networking place, and would like to take part in the formal networking afternoon on October 8, please email kirsty@focalattractions.com.au with your name, job title and company information.
